When your masonry is showing signs of needing repairs such as cracks, chipping, discoloration, or crumbling mortar it is best to diagnose and repair the issues as soon as possible to prevent further damage or potential leaks. It may require some pointing, replacing mortar joints, a new cement cap, brick or stone replacement, or possibly waterproofing. There is a difference between masonry repair and masonry restoration. Repairs that are kept up with along with maintenance and waterproofing can hopefully prevent a large scale restoration which can be quite costly when things are beyond repair and must be replaced. In the climate zone we live in, we have freezing and thawing which often cause issues with water penetration that lead to masonry repairs. Choosing products that make sense for our climate and the time of year installed outdoors can make a lot of difference.
If you are scheduled for an appointment and do not cancel 1 hour in advance of your scheduled time, you will be billed a $25 cancellation fee. Often times we are already in route to your appointment or have already arrived before being cancelled and we still need to pay our staff for their time and fuel costs. We would be happy to reschedule your appointment if you should decide to do so. (This pertains specifically to scheduled service calls, estimate appointments, and chimney cleaning/inspection appointments.)
